About

The Studio for Ethnographic Design (SED) was founded in 2013 to enhance ethnographic research and pedagogy and to deepen the connections among a wide variety of ethnographic researchers on the UCSD campus. The studio is a space in which faculty and graduate students meet to discuss research design and methods, debate ethical practice, critique ethnographic cultural productions, present in-process research, and engage with practitioners from other fields who are redesigning their methods with and for contemporary conditions.
