The Seminario Permanente Turismo, Globalización y Sociedades Locales, Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán (UADY) will be presenting the video-documentary Mayapolis. Turismo y expansión urbana en la península de Yucatán, by Renaud Lariagon. The documentary is inspired by anthropological and geographical research in the region including my book Stuck with Tourism: Space, Power and Labor in Contemporary Yucatán (UC Press 2020) with video materials on Cancún, Celestún and Tekit and featured interviews with scholars.
