Leslie Lee (PhD 2013) has accepted a Lecturer position in the Department of English Language and Literature at the National University of Singapore.
Lara Hochstein successfully defended her dissertation, Epistemic reasoning and implicature computation in typically-developing children and individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Lara is now a Language Arts Product Analyst at IXL Learning.
Dan Michel successfully defended his dissertation, Individual cognitive measures and working memory accounts of syntactic island phenomena.

Ivano Caponigro has received a Fellowship from the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS), Stanford University for 2014-2015 and a Fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies for 2015.
Congratulations to Gabe Doyle for placing third in the preliminary round at the Office of Graduate Studies 2014 Grad SLAM event. Gabe’s presentation was about using social media data such as tweets from Twitter to identify the range of dialects in the United States.
The Linguistic Society of America recently announced the appointment of our own Professor Grant Goodall as the LSA’s liaison to the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
